Dr. Wilson has a background as a veterinarian who practiced clinical medicine in veterinary hospitals
which he both owned and managed. Dr. Wilson also holds a law degree.
PVMC's major strength comes from our ability to combine our unique resources and address
veterinary management issues in a practical, everyday manner.

Operational audits of veterinary practices wherein the business’s financial affairs, medical
records, marketing, employment contracts, lease, staffing, and/or other documents or procedures
are evaluated using on-site visits, employee interviews, consultations, and employee forums,
(when time permits – these are generally offered from May through August);

Reviews of practice appraisals to advise parties about the reasonableness and/or feasibility
of the values established in preparation for a desired sale or purchase of the business;

Aiding practices with transitions from salary based compensation for associates to
production-based formats;

The implementation of a mission/vision/core value assignment followed by phone or
in-person consultations to consider the likelihood of success or failure as practices
contemplate selling a business interest to one or more additional parties;

Strategic planning efforts that evaluate options for expansion of the practice and physical
plant, the desirability or undesirability for growth of the practice, and/or adding or removing
owners to or from the ownership roster; and

Consultations with the media and veterinary industry regarding pet health insurance as a
growth engine for small animal practice as well as hiring, managing, training, and
motivating staff members.
